What began as a simple love for the region has grown into a mission: to share the Finger Lakes’ beauty, culture, and flavors with every guest. Laura and Alan Falk have lived and experienced the Finger Lakes for over 40 years. After 20 years working “straight jobs” – Alan as a software engineer, and Laura, first as a manager in a software company, and then as a nutrition researcher at Cornell University – they began to yearn for the “next big adventure.”

we’ve been on two food tours with beyond the plate red bank nj and jersey city heights nj both in the winter and they were excellent experiences, excellent food selections and the hosts are very personable and easy to talk to which obviously make a great host! Definitely recommend this. if your on the fence about this type of tour like it might be weird or something don’t even worry about it you’ll feel very welcomed at each place you stop at.

What type of service do you provide?

We are a full service touring company providing fully guided public wine and sightseeing experiences in and around the Finger Lakes region. We also provide receptive services for charter groups and custom touring opportunities for corporate or conference events. Wine pairing events are also available for private parties or large public gatherings.

Can I select the winery locations we wish to visit?

All our winery locations reflected in our public wine tour programs are predetermined. These locations are based on the partnerships we have created in the Finger Lakes area to provide the highest level of service possible to our guests. However, custom private touring options are available for groups by special request. Please contact us at 607-233-4818 for more information.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy varies depending on the specific service provided.

Our epiphany came in 2006 on a 3-week RV trip in Grand Teton, Yellowstone, and Glacier National Parks. We used a wonderful touring company to help plan our trip, and one morning while studying our custom itinerary, we looked at each other and said, “We can do this! We live in a wonderful tourist destination, and while there is so much to do, there is nobody in the area that helps pull it all together for our visitors!”

Six months later, Experience! The Finger Lakes, LLC was founded. We consider ourselves concierge to the region – providing our guests with premium experiences of the best that the region has to offer.
